What Is American Home Fitness?

The Focus On Muscle And Weight Loss

When I think of American Home Fitness, I think of toned bodies and large fitness equipment like treadmills and free weights.

Having a flat stomach is not enough for us. We need muscle popping out. Everyone wants six pack abs and we try almost everything to get it; diets, exercises, ab machines, etc.

This applies to the rest of our body as well. We want to show off a toned, well developed body, free of excess fat.

Getting in a great workout can be boosted with supplements, but don't buy phentermine; be safe and research and compare safer substitutes to achieve your weight loss goals.

Getting a great body

Through proper diet and exercise, one can shape their body to what they desire.

American fitness is about following a low calorie diet and working out at a gym or health club. We can build muscle using many machines and free weights at a gym. There's treadmills and other cardio machines to help trim excess fat.

Much commitment and motivation is needed to make the changes you want.

The 'Home' In American Home Fitness

The downside to using gyms is the amount of time you end up spending. First, there's the commute to get to the gym and then back home.

You have your 30 minute to 2 hour workout on machines or free weights. Then you have another 20 min to 1 hour cardio routine. Each person is different, but there's no question that a lot of time is spent at the gym.

Repeat 3-6 times a week.

There's got to be an easier way to get fit. That's what I thought, as I used to be a heavy gym goer myself. The grind of going in for a heavy leg workout and then an arm & chest workout the next day got to me after a while.

I started looking into ways to stay fit at home. Also, I wanted to make my workouts shorter and still build strength and muscle. The key was bodyweight exercises.

I think this is what American Home Fitness should be about.

Equipment vs. Bodyweight Exercises

American Home Fitness implies treadmills, exercise bikes, home gyms, and other large equipment. That's what we've been told as the way to get that great, toned or muscular body.

The truth is, you don't have to use those to get in great shape or build muscle.

There's smaller home fitness equipment you can use that cost much less and take up minimal space. Things like a pull up bar or an ab wheel, when combined with bodyweight exercises, can provide an intense, effective workout.

Bodyweight exercises are just exercises that use only your own body as the weight.

Things like pushups, pull ups, crunches, and burpees would count for this.

Your cost: $0.

A Focus On Internal Health

We often think of getting fit in simple terms like losing fat and building muscle. It just makes sense.

However, there is another side to fitness: health. You may look good on the outside, but that doesn't mean you look good on the inside. I'm talking about your internal health such as your vital organs, digestive system, blood profile, circulatory system, etc.

This is your foundation. Without it, premature aging and health problems will ensue.

We just assume that if we have these great looking bodies then we must be in good health. That is partly true. Keeping excess fat and weight off helps out greatly, but that doesn't mean you don't have less-visible problems.

If you're not eating proper foods, your body could be deficient in certain nutrients. Your body could slowly be suffering from the damaging effects of free radicals and inflammation. Taking high-quality health supplements can help greatly if your diet is less than ideal.

American Home Fitness And China

Many other countries are adopting our Western style of fitness, but many people in China follow a balanced approach of physical activity and healthy eating that focuses more on internal health.

Keeping weight off can be as simple as doing more social activities. Such activities include dancing and singing with friends, going out for walks, and playing badminton.

It's not common to spend hours in a gym.

Also, many herbal remedies are used in place of pharmaceutical drugs.

Their diets include lots of vegetables, almost with every meal, and don't normally have any sugar or bread based foods. Rice is the main exception, as it is a starchy carbohydrate.
