Health Supplements Guide

Should You Be Taking Any Supplements?

Most of us should be taking health supplements. Our diets are not perfect. Can you say that you get all the required fruits, vegetables, essential fatty acids, and everything else needed for a well-balanced diet?

I can't.

Even if you do, it is still likely that you are deficient in some nutrients. Nutrient deficiency is a leading cause of illness and disease.

Other aches, pains, or flu-like symptoms can be prevented from keeping your internal health at its best. Nutritional supplements take care of that.

Benefits Of Health Supplements

There are many benefits from taking supplements. Even if you feel perfectly healthy, taking a good multivitamin or some Bee Pollen can promote a longer, happier life.

You could write a whole book about the benefits of Bee Pollen. Even the Bible talks about it's healing abilities.

Fish Oils have the Omega 3 essential fatty acids. The major beneficiaries of fish oils are your heart and your brain. It's been shown that Omega 3 fatty acids have promoted thinking, reduced blood pressure, reduced heart attacks, and more. There are many fish oil health benefits.

Other natural remedies like green tea have many health benefits as well. Most notably, green tea acts as a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants prevent the production of free radicals which damage cells in the body.

Some other benefits of supplements include:

  • Reduce pain and inflammation
  • Clearer skin
  • Better circulation and blood pressure
  • Sharper thinking
  • Better overall sense of well-being

Not All Supplements Are The Same

Not every multivitamin on the shelf is the same. The number of nutrients and the amount of each varies greatly from product to product.

Some products only focus on one or two ingredients. Others have 40+ nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and natural herbs.

Many supplements have cheap ingredients and in fact can cause more harm than good. It's important to find a supplement manufacturer that produces their products in a GMP compliant facility, the same kind pharmaceutics drug companies use.

Also, the ratios and amounts of each nutrient is important; you may be getting more than you really need from some ingredients, and some ingredients complement each other, forming a synergistic relationship whose sum is greater than the parts.
